It’s a Bird – It’s a Plane – It’s Superleaf!   Leave a comment

Acker Woods is an interesting place to live. You just never know what you’ll see during the daily doggie walks. Like the other day we photographed one of the snow creatures hanging on to a dead limb for dear life, then today we saw a tired superleaf, resting in the stating to melt snow. He (or she) probably was tired from a long flight from across the road and chose this place as a temporary landing field. No matter, it made for one of those once in a lifetime photo opps! Like they used to say, F8 and be there!

I shot this image with my old Nikon 5700. I haven’t used it for a good many months and decided it needed some work. It’s only a 5mp point and shoot, but it has a great lens, shoots in raw and produces a good quality image. It was my everyday camera for a year or so until I got the Panasonic Lumix FZ35 a couple of years ago. It’s also the only digital camera I have that allows the use of my Vivitar flash.
