The first fall of snow is not only an event, it is a magical event. You go to bed in one kind of world and wake up in another quite different, and if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found? ~J.B. Priestley.
This photo is not in black & White. It was photographed in glorious color on one of those steel grey winter days when the sun refuses to shine after dumping a load of wet snow transforming the world into a magical wonderland. This snowfall reminds me of the scene in “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” where the little girl first discovers Narnia. I don’t think I have ever seen this kind of a snowfall that has lasted so long without the trees losing their burden of snow. And as J. B. Priestly said, “if this is not enchantment then where is it to be found?”
